A Life Guided by Music
Moshe discovered the kanun in Jerusalem, Israel, when he was drawn to its sound echoing through a long hallway. That moment—simple, unexpected, and deeply moving—led him to study under the musician he found, who later became his teacher. Since then, Moshe has made the kanun part of his artistic and spiritual journey.
Now living in Oregon House, Moshe shares this rare music with the community through local performances, both solo and in collaboration with a pianist. Their duet blends traditional tones with experimental compositions, exploring the boundary between classical and contemporary sound.
